EVOO / sunflower ratio, Spain

2.33×−0.061W

How many times a kilo of Spanish extra virgin costs a kilo of crude sunflower oil. A high or rising ratio makes seed oils cheaper on the shelf and draws retail demand away from olive oil; a falling one wins it back.

About this data

Each indicator compares two prices of the board, as a difference or a ratio, paired on the weeks both were reported: the European Commission's weekly price reports, published on its Agri-food Data Portal and dated to the Sunday that ends each week. OliveTerm's mid-week estimates never pair with a report, a missing week has no value, and nothing is carried forward.

The windows are the 52 and 156 weeks to the latest pair. The percentile is the share of a window's weekly prints at or below the latest, given only when the history reaches back to the window's start and holds at least three quarters of its weeks. The indicators were last reviewed on 6 Oct 2026; how each price is sourced is on the methodology page.
