The Commission publishes its short-term outlook for EU agricultural markets three times a year, with a chapter on olive oil covering production, consumption, trade and stocks for the campaign ahead. It is the first consolidated EU-level balance after the national crop estimates land.

The summer 2026 edition was published on 6 July. The autumn edition has fallen in the first half of October in recent years — 8 October in 2024 — which is where the date below comes from; it has not been announced.
