About AOVE World Cup 2027: entries and samples close

The AOVE World Cup is a private competition organised by Ocio Mudéjar at Finca 48 Kilates, on the edge of Zaragoza. It is open to growers, mills, co-operatives, packers and brand owners from any country, with oils from the Northern Hemisphere's 2026/27 campaign or the Southern Hemisphere's 2026 harvest.

Each oil needs six bottles of at least 500 ml, two in their commercial dress and four plain for the blind tasting, all from one declared lot. The entrant also uploads a chemical analysis from a laboratory recognised by the IOC or accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, a sensory analysis from a recognised panel and a sampling record signed by an independent technician who supervised the sampling. Shipping, duties and customs are the entrant's to pay, and the samples must arrive free of charges.

Each entry, one oil in one category, costs 150€ for a company's first, 100€ for its second and 75€ for each one after, plus applicable taxes. The competition awards no prize money. Judging follows on 6 and 7 February, and the results are proclaimed in Zaragoza on 27 February 2027.
