The thirty-fifth Ercole Olivario, Italy's national quality competition for extra virgin olive oil and table olives, presents its awards in Perugia in April 2027. The winners of the 2026 table olive section, whose entries close on 27 October 2026, are proclaimed in December 2026 and receive their awards here.
About Ercole Olivario 2027: awards ceremony
The Ercole Olivario is promoted by Italy's chambers of commerce through Unioncamere and the Camera di Commercio dell'Umbria. Oils enter through regional selections run by each chamber, and the national final in Perugia awards the best extra virgin olive oils by region and intensity, with sections for PDO and PGI oils, organic oils and table olives.
The organiser has given the month and the city for the 2027 ceremony, not the day, so the date is estimated. Registration for the oil competition usually opens in the autumn and closes in December; the 2026 edition closed on 18 December 2025.
